Mounting Ground Effects

Got a 85 Sports Coupe that I'm trying to outfit with gfx. I've used the search and I couldn't find a clear answer so I decided to make another thread. Anyways, other than the gfx itself and the steel bracket I have to weld on, is there anything else needed to mount the gfx to the rocker panel?

when i put ground effects on my car the metal brackets all had screws that went to the inside part of the car and all used speed nuts. i dont know if its different for camaros but other than that you may need double sided tape for the front fender like mine had. hope that helps.

Er so is that all I need then? Weld on the brackets, drill a few holes and done?

Weld on the brackets, and you'll have to drill for the holes just in front of the rear tires. Take some time to mark them, and you'll also have to pull out the interior pieces to get in there and put the nut on. After you get them on, drilling the bottom holes and putting in some screws is about as easy as it gets.

Its actually a straightforward project, the most difficult part is getting the holes drilled in the fender, rocker, and quarter panel correctly. I also made new metal inserts with the studs for the front bumper cover too, the factory pieces are flimsy and weren't suitable for re-use. I made another post a few days ago on this board about mounting gfx, so search away. Good luck and have fun.
