taillight mod

i have a 90 firebird. i wanted to make the all clear taillights. i used to have a grand am and the taillight lens was clear with a red tint on the inside. all you had to do was seperate the lens from the housing and remove the tint to have a clear lens, then put in some red bulbs. i was wondering if the lens's on the bird are the same or if they are acctually a colored plastic.

Regular firebird taillights this can't be done too. But 85-90 Trans am taillights could be, you'd have to rewire them to work on a firebird. The other funny thing is they only make blackouts for firebird tails.

Blackouts would look sweet on a white car. Lots of contrast. everyone has their own opinon though
