Dealer have interior stuff for 91?

Anyone know if a chevy dealer would have the red leather seat covering for my Z? (1991) I see classic doesnt have the 3rd gen leather. Is this worth pursuing?

99% chance of no.

It's all up to you. I personally think red is the ugliest interior color ever.
Some people would beg you to take their red leather seats away for them.

I don't see how your opinion of the color red is helpful to him. Anyway, I don't believe that dealerships stock or have available to them any raw fabrics or even full seats.

MY ragtop TPI is red on red and is nearly perfect interior, except a small area on drivers seat. I would like to keep it stock, since its rare to find any third gen that hasnt been hacked, whacked, or attacked.

white ext. on red int. doesn't look too bad IMO. There's enough black in there anyways to break up all the red.

For me, white is the only color that can pull off a red interior and still look good.

I have a 1991 GTA and wanted to get new leather for my seats. Dealer didn't have it. VPN (company that handles the stuff they dont stock anymore) didn't have it either. I'm pissed, and in need of new leather for my seats.

I have a 91 RS Convertible a with slightly worn tan leather, and would also like to find new replacement leather covers with the camaro logo embossed in the material just like the originals. Does anyone make them still, or would we have to get it custom made?

You might want to consider, custom upholstery. Most towns of 20,000+ people will have a upholstery shop.

This will give you the opportunity to pick out exactly what you want. I have to agree with one of the above posters that a solid red seat usually looks ugly. However, I once saw a two tone black red interior that looked way sharp. I think it was a sport interior Z06 corvette a few years back.

The cost of this is can be less than mail order seat covers.

Without question if you go this route the single hardest part is deciding on a design and style. You will spend days and weeks second guessing what you want. This is because you will have hundreds of choices to choose from.

Drive you car to a custom upholstery shop a kick around some ideas with the trimmer and get a quote.

The first time I talked to a trimmer about a set of seats, I asked, "What can you do with these?" The trimmer walked me into his shop and showed me some corvette seats skins he was working on for another customer. These were probably among the sharpest seats I have ever seen, complete with rally stripes and recontoured bolsters. He replied to my question with a wicked grin saying, "How about something like this?"

Here are a few examples of want a killer auto trimmer can do.

wow, you're kidding... right? He asked if it's worth pursuing locating the material with respect to whether or not a dealership or anyone else would still have it.

from a GM parts guy let me tell you for sure--no chance on seat covers of any color. A couple places to look: classic industries, Hawks Third Gen, Year One, Eklers, and don't forget e-bay--just last week I saw a bunch of red interior parts for sale.
