Can't open hood

OK guys, I'm restoring my car over the four years I go to college, hoping to hold a job on campus and work on my car whenever I can. I started by doing some bodywork and got all the rust off the underbody and inside the fenders and had the floorpans replaced. Today I got a little sick of doing bodywork so I decided I was gonna take the radiator and alternator out and replace them. I couldn't open the hood, I guess when the guy did the floorpans he removed the cable to the hood. I was wondering if there was another way I could open the hood.

Don't know if this will help you, but .... My hood was difficult to open until I learned the trick ... Pull the hood release all the way out and make sure it returns all the back in by pushing on it, then push down on the hood before lifting up ... works every time for me.

You sure the cable is actually gone, and the hood isn't just sticking?

I know on my '92s, you can lay on your back under the front of the car and reach up and manipulate the latch by hand.

BTW, where in MA are you?

I found the problem, the cable wasn't connected. I used Pockets diagrams and triggered it with my hand. Thanks for the diagrams Pocket.
