The big deal is to adjust them and lube them up. I am not sure if you went that far with power windows. Mine are stock from 89, I just keep them lubed and they work like a charm.
Now, if you are willing to do work, the manual windows might be the right way to go.
Go to JY and look at the manual door. I think there are only few pieces, but I am not totally sure. Just look at it and make sure you get everything you think you'll need.

I'd still try to adjust the motors and lube them up good. IMO

When i know for sure that lube is not the problem, I used almost a whole tube of lithium grease on the one door, i also made sure everything was lined up good. plus it will save some weight. we have a car up here that is manual doors i will go pull both doors apart and see what they will charge me

The only difference between the two is the regulators themselves.

Me and a buddy swapped my Formula over to Manual windows, and I couldn't be happier.

It took maybe 15-20 Minutes per door.

on the power windows, what would cause the window to not roll down all the way? it makes a noise like a loud "wheel of fortune" table....like the little pin flopping over the studs. it make the noise when rolling it up as well when it reaches the top. any sugestions??

i don't think that its the motor since it still moves the window up and down...so is it the regulator?
