Fender difference?
Fender difference?
Son has an 86Z28. I bought some used fenders from a guy but don't know the year of the fenders. My son called me and said the fenders would not work on the 86. He went on to say that he ordered new fenders from a local body guy ($900+). Will any fender 82-92 work on the 86 Camaro?

Yes, 82-92 fenders are all the same. I bought my new replacements for 60 bucks each, from Auto Body Panels.

I think at the most you might have to drill a hole here or there but they should be the same. The 91-92 have a slot for the front ground effects but thats easy to add to the earlier fenders.
Dont buy aftermarket if you can afford a good used or new original. They will need alot of work to get them straight. at least the one i got will. Looks good at first glance but the stamping is poor and wavy.

Most aftermarket fit slightly off. Like a quick glimpse and its nice, but if you study it you'll notice gaps. They aren't quite as durable as the stock ones either.
