91-92 High Rise Spoiler?
91-92 High Rise Spoiler?
I have an '88 Iroc-Z with the low-rise (non fin design) spoiler. I want to retrofit a 91-92 style high-rise spoiler, but do not know if its a bold-on swat. I somehow suspect that there would be some body modification to the hatch, since the wings do not attach in the same place.
So, can i simply buy a new spoiler and bolt it on or would it be easier to get the entire rear hatch assembly from a 91-92?
Thanks guys.

you'd have to fill in all the holes on the quarter panel and have them welded shut and repainted obviously. the holes in the hatch will have to be welded shut likewise and repainted as well.

If you can get the decklid that the Z-spoiler was attached to then it is easier, alot easiser. You will still need to fill in the holes on the rear quarters though. You don't need the entire hatch, just the decklid.

My car was getting repainted so the holes on the quarter didnt matter. You can't even tell they were there. I used a hatch from a 82 or 83 that originally had no spoiler, I just drilled the holes.
