how do i remove the center t-bar in my roof? i have t-tops and i want to take out the center piece and strip off the plastic paint that is on it. i removed my headliner and everything, but i cannot figure out how the center section comes off, is it bolted down, screwed down, glued down????

any help would be great

 

Well when I took mine off there are 3 screws and another one under the weather stripping and it is held down with some sticky stuff now if you just want to paint the black center part that lines up with the roof that is riveted in and you will have to drill the rivets out and then replace them.

 

thanks, i want to take the whole thing out and sandblast it and then have it painted to match my cars paint color (when it gets repainted)
