help me open my hood

hey guys
so i was going to open my hood today, and when i pulled on the release inside the car, the cable snapped somewhere. i am wondering if there is any way to get it open now, short of taking my car apart. any suggestions are appreciated.

this happened to me once when I was test fitting the latch... If you have a long pair of pliers you can get at the latch by laying on your back and reaching up to pull the cable, although I can't remember how far taken apart my car was at this point lol.

I don't know if the Camaro's are different, but on my Formula, I once had to lie one my back and reach up and manipulate the latch by hand. It was very easy to access.

If you end up needing a new hood release cable, let me know, as I have one that I bought as a spare.

Maybe your latch is just stuck, and the cable didn't actually snap, though. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

lol, thanks. i did get it open today after a few hours of trying to figure out exactly how to move the latch. it looks like the cable just pulled out instead of snapping though. but thanks again for the offer

My hood release cable just broke a few days ago as well. Hey Bull how much was the cable and where did you get it?
