1985 trans am console question

I have a 1985 Trans Am and I am currently doing some interior work. I need to know how to remove the shift **** so that I can remove the center console. If someone could give me some instructions it would be appreciated.

Thank you

I tried using the search option but couldn't find any information on my question, and so that is why I posted. If anyone could help out that'd be great.

Thanks

on the back of the shift ****(closest to the radio) there should be a pin the shape of a staple, what u do then is take a standard screwdriver and pry the pin out, then lift the **** out.
