ok, so my camaro needs some touching up. Ive got the paint code for my car but neither autozone or advance autoparts carry it. I asked at the stores if they could order it and they acted like it was a stupid question... so how do I get matching paint for my car?? duplicolors book at autozone listed it as gun metal gray, but on duplicolors site i cant search for anything made before 1994 and my car's an '87 ..any suggestions?

 

Find an auto body paint store in your area. They can mix up a spray can for you. It'll cost more than duplicolor but you are going to chase your tail trying to find it in a parts store.

 

You've always got the option of going to the dealership for the mix too. It'll cost you though. I've got the luxury of having a full service paint and body supply shop down the road from my house.

 

also you might have the color code, but they will not match.
your car has X years of fade in the paint. The new color will not.
