Seat belt mod plus an idea...

I had some extra belts lying around so I decided to try something. I removed the covers off the front shoulder belts (4th gen) took a skill saw to them and cut them down to size. Then I slipped the modified covers over the rear buckles (also 4th gen) and presto! The buckles no longer move around. I also have another idea I'm going to try... Taking these modified buckles and bolting them directly to my 01 TA front leather seats. It can be done, but would my insurance throw a fit? More importantly though, would it hold up in an accident? Tell me what you think...

I would not bolt them to the seat....they are bolted to the body for a reason...seat brackets do brake in some accidents....nice idea on the covers though
