how hard is it to find the camaro recaro seats and is there a company that sells the material to recover the seats thanks in advance Fred

 

i dont think that the camaros ever had recaros, but i know for a fact that recaro made seats for the TA's in multiple years. uh, 82, 79(?) and maybe a few other years.
look on ebay for recaro trans am under the parts section, you will probably need to recover them depending on the condition.

 

Recaros were used in some Trans Ams from 1981 to 1986.
Standard on the 1981 NASCAR Edition Turbo Trans Am, and the 1982-1984 Recaro Trans Ams. Optional from 1985-1986.
Pretty much any Recaro will work in your car. So, just look up Recaro seat on ebay, or just Recaro. Check out junk yards too, as alot of VWs and BMWs had them too. You can get them really cheap at the yards. Heck, some people even find them for free! Right Alex?
Recaro also sold their own brackets, which were really solid, but I have been able to use the stock brackets on my one car.
