i need advice
Hi my name is mike and im 17 and my brother is selling me his 89' pontiac firebird 2dcoupe V6 2.8L , and i need a good place to start looking for parts, like a new hood, beaucse i dont like how the stock hood looks. And i need the Rear hatch lockdown motor. Also im having troubles installing my dynomax exhuast system. I think im gonna have to the unthinkable and take it to a shop. I rather do it myself but i cannot get the car high enough to wiggle it over the axle and suspension. Any suggestions?
All advise and suggestions will be takin with some thought, so please help a young enthusiast out. Thanks.

Hey Mike, welcome to TGO. If you look at the sponsors to the right, those are great places to pick up parts, especially Hawk's and Top Down Solutions, both have good reps. Your local junkyard is also a good spot for parts.
And you can't jack the car up far enough to wiggle out that pipe? I know it's a bit tricky but a little fiddling and you should be able to slip it out. If nothing else, you could always cut it out.
Any more questions feel free to ask. Or use the search feature, a lot of issues have already been discussed and a quick search will find all the answers you need.

also check out the classified board. It's a great place to find pretty much anything you could imagine for these cars.

Oooohh. Well never mind then.
I got my Dynomax pipe in. I'm sure you can too. Don't be afraid to give it some tough love.
