wow.... All that work is amazing. Wish my dad would help me with my car (he's just worried he'll hurt himself, spend too much money, or try and steal the car from me).
After reading through all this makes me want to go and work on my car hardcore.

No progress to add, just thought you all would find it funny, The pre owner did a sad attempt of shaving the emblems on my ground effects....turns out if was just full of bondo, I knocked to out with a screw driver. O the things you find

Hey man, big props to you. I know how it is. I'm 17 with two jobs, school, and my 84 Camaro. Thats awesome that you do most of that work with your dad. This thread is definitly a pick me up, when my car is irritating me. So keep us posted. Hope this thing gets done.

OK!! lmao, cars home, finally, theres a few pits, and a small run on the mirror, but honestly, im not going to bother with my shop teacher, my mom, and my dad and I are just plane sick of his bs, but, all in all for my first, DD car, I say its pretty dam nice lmao, and for the ammount of work we did too it, it only ended up costing 2000.00 even. But anyways, so far, its got the carpets back in it, a few trim pices, and one rear seat lol, oh and we finally got it running (turns out the kids at my school unplugged a few things, but I fixed that, and it ran peachy, as it did when I bought it, but we get it home, and I unplug the neutral saftey switch, and a few other plugs that are on the transmission tunnel, and put the carpet in, and plug them back in, now it wont start >_< also a black box thing that was plugged into the diagnostic plug fell off, and we plugged it back in...and still nothing, starter wont even start up. oh well, I'l get it running eventually. I'll get some pics up soon.

Awesome Work,
I remeber my 1st big car rebuild...I was 17 and it was a 75 Camaro...put a 455 Olds engine in it. Your doing a much better job.

Be very very carefull when drilling the holes for the wing end pieces. We messed my brothers up the first time we drilled them. Luckily it was still in primer so we were able to weld the hole back up.
Basically there is no good way to mark the holes for the wing tips since you have that third stud that is perpindicular to the other two. Your best bet is to measure a car that has the factory holes and mimic it.

Lucky us, we left the edge of the old quarter panel, so the holes are still there ^^, just make a little mark with a center punch, and vollia...well..atleast thats how I hope it will go lmao.
Anyways, almost everthing is back on, besides the spoiler pices, driver door panel, and the AC comp. Should be done within the week, then I get to clean up under that dirty engine bay.

Supreme Member
Well done, nothing is perfect. Having the satisfaction that you did it yourself is an achievement many have yet to do. Have fun and be good to your camaro!

Thanks ^^, and about the paint, i'll take a look at the can tomorrow, and post up what it is. I'll also try to get some pics up. Also, how long do I have too wait, before I can safely use a presure washer, and wax the car?
Supreme Member
Man, I really want to see some pictures of it all put back together.

You drive it yet? If so, How does it feel, must feel great!
Cant really driver it anywhere right now, due to the lack of windshield lol
Supreme Member
So how much have you put in total if you don't mind me asking. Also, who painted it?
psh....who needs a windshield to tool around a lot or down the road? Hell, I fire up engines before i have the exhaust on!

Anyways, if there are any other spots I should check, please tell me. Im really getting sick of the battery constantly draining."
