well, let me know when you guys come across a decent hood, cowl or not. i have an 85 trans am that i bought without a hood, and its dang near hard to find a good one. i called a local junkyard awile back "which actually had a few decent firebirds" and i said, "you got a hood that would go on an 85 trans am?" he said "yea, i'll let them go for 60 bucks, whichever one you want." now understand, local for me is an hour drive away. i live in the boonies. we have one gas station. one grocery store. its like the 50's here. so i said, "hell yea, be there in an hour." well i get there and i'll be danged if both hoods, "while looking good closed" didn't buckle at the left hand top corner when i raised them. man i was mad. i was so close to finding a hood for my ta. now i found a few on ebay "very few", but i'd have to drive to places like NJ, or Cali, and thats a bit far. point being, if you get a good cowl hood, whether its three or two inch for 50 bucks, then you are the luckiest man alive. lol
