clogged cowl pan drain

I've got water leaking from under my dash onto the passenger side floor when it rains. from stuff i've read it sounds like a clogged cowl pan drain. I'm just not sure how to clean it. do i need to go under the dash or just remove the screening between wipers? I've done several searches and come up dry. help.

Going under the dash will do you no good.I believe that they drain sideways behind the fenders at the a-pillars.I think if you take the screen grid off you can get something poked in there to unclog whatever is stuck in there.Use some silicone or something to plug up any suspicious looking holes or seams you might notice when you are looking in there. You will have to remove the wiper arms to get that screen off.

Yes,go in through the top.Once again aside from it being clogged(with leaves and debris most likely)it is also likely you have a hole or a seam that needs to be sealed also so have a long close look for that.
