American T-top?
This question is for my dad's 77 TA...not mine.
Even though it is a different gen, I hope I can get some leads on something.
His t-tops are aftermarket. They're not the regular Hurst that was put in at the factory. Instead, these are American T-top. Do ANYONE know if this company still exists or if they've changed names and we just don't know it?
He needs gaskets and stuff for his and the Hurst just doesn't fit. Just need to figure out where to locate "American T-Top".
Thanks!

From what I know, there were two companies that did this, and neither were done at the factory. The dealer would send the car out to either Hurst, or American and have them done. From what I understand, the only means of getting weatherstripping, or t-tops is through aftermarket vendors, none of which I was able to find when I had my 79 firebird. There is one company (I'll make a phone call to my boss and ask him then post back here) that may possibly make them, I'll let you know what it is.
