Man, that sure is looking good. Some day I'll be able to do all of that to my Trans Am.
Thanks for the tip on the peel n stick sound deadner. I'm going to do that to my TA when I do the interior

Beautiful man, keep it up. There are many of us here that wish we could park ours and do the same. God I know I would love too. This makes me want to find a roller and go at it.

Neil, I'm waiting on a call back from Speartech. We may go a different route for your harness though, I have a couple of hook up's in the works. We may get it from the same people that made that custom LS-1 harness for that white '61 Impala that Jim and I did. Anywho, I'll holler at ya after work.

Man that body shop of yours is making quick work of that project. Won't be much longer and we will see it in color! Are you doing a lsx swap? I hope you are. That is the next step for my car, just got to figure out how to pay for it
. Are you planning any body mods for underhood appearance?
Make sure you throw up some pics when it gets in primer.
Later,
Brandon

BADNBLK, yeah I am thrilled to see how fast these guys work and YES I am going with an LS2 (not stock). And for underhood appearances there will be some mods. My goal is too get it looking as clean as possible! The strut tower "lip" if you will, has been welded and will be smoothed for a cleaner look and the same will be done for all the little annoying holes.
Yeah, I can't wait too throw the primer pics up! Wait til you see the pics of the door "handles"!

Thank you for your help Mike! There is so much to be done on this car and I do appreciate you looking into the harness for me.
Now, here are some photos of the frenched in door "handle". It still needs some smoothing and minor angle adjustments, but I definitely like it. I will put a pressure switch behind the door lip (maybe the C6 vette switch will work?). This Saturday I will see it in person and finalize it then.
As for how much I am spending on this......well, it is a VERY fair price! Especially for the amount of customizing and the degree of detail Vintage Restoration of the Woolands is putting into this project. John is very open and willing to hear what I want, very good business man. Thanks John.

Thanks for the input! As a matter of fact that is exactly what we have planned and the bumper will be widened by at least 2" as well.

Red92rs, the shops info and contact info is in the very first post of this thread, if you need more info I will be happy to PM you.
Neil let me know if you need half of a rear bumper to make your "widened bumper", ive got a couple sittin around, id cut one up for ya, as long as you take care of shipping.

Matt, that's awesome, thank you very much for the offer! What year are the bumper covers? If you have a '91-'92 bumper i'll definitely take you up on this. Ok, here are some more pics of the progress so far.

Now, these pics should probably be posted in the Brake Board however, I want to keep you guys up to date with all the mods i'll be making, so here they are.....C6 ZO6 brakes! The front caliper bolts to the C5 caliper adapter, perfectly. As for the rears, I am going to either fabricate a new bracket for Strange axle tube OR see if Strange has already designed one. The first 2 pics are obviously the front caliper and the last pic is of the rear caliper.

I know I have said it before, but I am still jealous! One thing I am not jealous of is all that hammer and dollie work under the hood, but hard work has its rewards - looks cool!

I bought the C6 calipers and rotors at Davis Chevrolet in Houston. The price is $250 per caliper, the front rotors are $230.86 ea., rear rotors $88.00 ea., brake pads front $260.15, rears are about the same. If you're interested I am selling my C5 ZO6 front calipers, pads and rotors (with and extra set of new rotors). These C5 brakes have NO MORE than 20 miles on them, see pics of them in previous posts.

All I can say is...WOW!!!
I've been following this thread, since I discovered it abouta week ago. Those door handles are the coolest idea! I did the smooth C/K style truck door handle swap on my 92 RS years ago. Your idea on the door handles is much cooler though!
I dig the quarter panel mod too. I could never afford it, short of winning the Mega Million lottery...I guess dreams are good to have though!
Can't wait to see her finished. Judging by what has been done so far though, it'll be done right and not rushed.

Today, John ordered the wheels from I-Forged for my car. They will be i-Forged Aeros: 18 x 9.5 (5.5" backspacing) - Fronts and 18 x 12 (7.5" backspacing) - Rears. The wheels will be without the perimeter bolts though, i'm going for a cleaner yet aggressive look! I sure hope they look as cool on my car as they do on this one. Wheels are always a tough one IMO!

Very nice choice on wheels!
Are you going to have them polish the back sides of the wheel hoops, cause I read in that guys cardomain that you got the pics from that he had to polish them himself.
Keep posting up the pics. This thread is my favorite on the board right now!

those wheels will look awesome! i think ditching the "buttons" was a good idea.
its cool that youre doing these huge mods, but still trying to keep the paint subtle instead of blaringly trying to say something with your paint. thats the way to go IMO.

Thanks again everyone! Stephen, regarding the brake pads both front pairs were $260 and the rears are about the same. Still, that price is ridiculous for brake pads, but I need to stop. Now, whether I need to stop this well, that remains to be seen??? Maybe i'll put in a V-6, lol
Anyway my friends, here are some more pics of the door "handle" french. Regarding this, does anyone have any suggestions as to what manufacturer to go with for the door popper mechanism?
