hatches are the same.... only difference would be if it had the pulldown or not.

The hatch itself will fit on any 82-92 Camaro, the possible differences are the wing on the hatch, the 3rd brake light, and the defroster. Pre 91-92 low rise spoiler (like the ones on IROC-Z's) are different than the 91-92 RS low rise spoilers, and then of course there is the high rise 91-92 which is obviously different. Usually when a hatch does not close all the way its either mis-aligned, or the pulldown motor is broken. The pulldown motor is a common part that fails with our cars, the gears inside are plastic and easy to break, the motor itself will only last so long. Another possibility is dirt/grime buildup, sometimes a cleaning and re-greasing will make it work better. Best bet is to inspect the hatch motor with the hatch open, you can use a key to simulate the hatch locking, then watch the movement and see if its working properly. If there is no movement at all then its definately broken, and the hatch will probably not close flush with the body.
