i was at the speed shop today and i came across a lot of old but NEW blackouts GTS in name brand and i found a front set that said 82 trans am the guy working at the place looked it up in the book and he said there was a def # for the 88 so is there a deference in these bumper around the lights i know the front of the bump is def looking, pic will help thanks.

 

The 82-84 is pointier. But the headlights and turn signals are the same. I guess just to be safe, order the correct ones. Now I know the rears are different. The 82-84 T/A GTS black out cover is one peice, the 85-90 is 3 peice. Not sure about the 91-92.

 

The headlight area is shorter on the 1982-1984 Firebirds.

 

82-84's and 85-90's are 2 different styles.

I will give you the part# but GTS went out of biz a few years ago, at least i think so you are going to have to get luckey in finding a pair. I will put a pic and part # latter today. Sorry it took a bit to get back to ya.
