where is the water in my hatch

where is the water in my hatch
when i open the hatch in my 88 GTA i can here water slosh around inside it-the deck lid has what appears to be drain holes (so i assume?) and are clear.It seems to be in the rear spoiler??Are the original spoilers hollow inside and if so how did water get in it and should i be concerned ???will it freeze up and crack??
