the factory used some kind of wide sealing tape to cover big holes in the interior body under the interior body panels and such especially in the kick panels, etc.

what is this stuff called and where can i get some ?

i need to recover some holes that got uncovered in my 82

I'm not exactly sure where you can get the OEM stuff but, I used sticky asphault backed flashing that comes in a roll. Some folks use it for sound deadening also. Can be puchased from a home improvement center.
