Which Of These Two Orbital Sanders Would You Buy?
Hey peeps, I'm a don't know much about doing body work, but am currently learning. I need help from expert sanders. Now that I repaired most of my 85 camaro, my next step is the PAINT JOB!! What I'm concerned about right now is choosing one of two orbital sanders i found, question is, what do you think will do a better job. A small and light 5 inch palm sander or a huge 6 inch sander with huge grips and worth twice the price? Keep in mind I also have a small detail sander for the details.
Both sanders have adjustable speeds, both have a slow start to avoid gouging. The thing is, the 5 inch palm sander is very light and small with a decent grip, with an adjustable speed of 7000-12000 RPM. It is 3 amps
The 4 amp, 6 inch sander is 7 pounds, about 2.5 times heavier than the 5 inch, has major grips to keep it steady (but again, is a lot heavier), an adjustable speed of 4000 to 10000 RPM, and an option to adjust the rotor's turn rate from an eight to a quarter of a circle.
I just want the sander that will do the best job for me, what do you all think?

I wouldnt say that nothing is better, because there are at least several different brands that are JUST as good.
Porter Cable
Milwalkee
DeWalt
Mikita
Craftsman is OK at best, but I wouldn't reccomend them for that type of work. Really the only place that Craftsman shine is on hand tools.
