Frame Rust Etc Questions!

I have read every post on here about frame repair and how much of a pain it is to replace. My personal opionon is to save cars and restore... but most people say scrape it and buy a better start but in a few years that car is going to end up the same! So why don't people get off their butt and start fixing these problems!

Anyway my question is this! I have a 85 Camaro Z28 with 5sp disc brakes etc,
My car is 85% Solid! The only problem areas are the pass quarter which i have a replacement and from jacking the car up over the years the frame is push in a little from the jack i used.. Frame isn't rusted bad however from the scratches left from the jack a small finger length size deep rust which if it was poked probably wouldn't go through but looks bad!.. Is it worth fixing? The frame is my only concern i haven't talk to any local people but something that small could be fixed correct? Anyway the floors are perfect the trunk is good! spare tire area and even the rockers! What does everyone think!

Re: Frame Rust Etc Questions!

unfortunately these cars can be had cheap rust free. 3k should get you a clean car with no underside rust and minimal surface rust so to say it's cheaper to fix that's not always the case. i've recently patched up 2 cars where the undersides were rather rusted but quarters i won't mess with as it takes a professional to truly get it right or the car is wasted anyhow and at $800 a pannel plus the average 40+ an hour for a good body man one can start over relatively easy. in most cases you need a quarter on a car you might as well start over.
