Budget clear coat fix
Well, the clearcoat started peeling on the the front bumper of my bird a few months ago and i hate the way it looks. i dont have enough money right now for a new paint job. (the whole car could use one)
I was thinking about sanding down the clear coat and aplying a few coats of good rattlecan clear and wetsand/buff for a temporary fix. anyone tried this? thoughts? tips?
can i just feather out the areas that are peeling and sand the rest of the clear coat enough for the new stuff to stick or do i need to sand the whole bumper down to the base coat?

I tried it and in the end it looked just aful. you will need to re paint the entire bumper if you do. also the paint is insaneley thin. I was sanding with 800 grit and still had burnthrough to primer.
