Hood Help
I have a 2.5" Fiberglass hood on my '85 camaro. I have a buddy that has an '84 and he uses a low compression strut for his fiberglass hood so that the hood goes down easy yet it is able to keep the hood up as well. Does anybody know where I can get these struts with a low compression?

Re: Hood Help
Lucky for me my old hood (IROC Hood Weighs 61lbs) it blew my struts....and now with my Daytona Hood (2.5" Cowl Weighs 40lbs) uses them with ease.
So I would say your best bet is either ask your buddy or junkyard struts...
P.S. Let me know about the low compressions struts though as I wouldnt mind new ones....

FOUND THEM.....FOUND THEM.....FOUND THEM.......FOUND THEM.....

They Have High Tension And Low Tension
P.S. Check for fitment first, as these are quick release and bolt right into the hood instead of on the hinge.

Re: Hood Help
If so they dont put to much tension on the hood?
I had a pair of new stock replacements and they would barely let me close the hood without maybe cracking the hood. I put my blown ones in and boom...hood goes up easy as hell and down pretty good...still a little strong for me but they'll do.
