door problems

i got a set of doors for my 82 ta and i have a problem , the guy cut the hinges on the doors so all that is left is where the upper pins are in place , so i had to cut them out to get the pieces of the hinge off and now i dont know what to use to replace the pins, ive checked dealerships around the area and they say i cant get those pins , i have to buy a whole new hinge so i was wondering if there is anything else i could use , they want $300 for 1 hinge and i dont really wanna spend $600 on 2 hinges

Re: door problems

I kept the old pin, and cut a piece of copper pipe for the bushings, then slid the old pins through and welded them in.
