I am putting new wheels and tires on my 88 GTA and I need to know if my car will tuck 17 by 9.5s in the rear and 17 by 7s up front should be good right? Anyone help me out on what backspacing I will need or if I can even tuck them with a stock rear end?

 

i don't think the rear will fit im not sure i'm running 9.5 in the rear but on a 4th gen rearend and it bairly fits i think the rear might even rub somtimes in reverse only and i have 275 in the rear

 

dont quote me on this but i have 17x9 with 275/40/17 in the rear and i am not positive but i think the offset is zero. my tires are flush with the outside edge of my rear fenders. here is a pic,

need to get the right offset and they will fit for sure but what offset im not sure. id say 25mm offset would put a 9.5 inch rim a half inch inwards from where mine are. like i said though i THINK mine are a zero offset but not positive. someone else will chime in with more help for you.

 

Yes. I have 18x 10.5 in the back and it fits fine with some spacers or 4th gen rear end.

FWIW I have 17x9.5 in the fronts.
