rusted floor pans
On a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult is it to install new floor pans? My driver side deffinitly needs it and I might beable to get away with welding in just a couple peices of sheet metal on the passenger side.

Re: rusted floor pans
It really depends on your experiance and knowledge. Its not the easiest thing to do thats for sure. I helped my friend do them on his 72 Chevelle and it took us a good 3 hours to cut and replace just one side. new floor pans are oversized so you have to trim them for them to fit perfectly. you definatly wanna know how to work with a cut off wheel and a welder.

Replacing the floor pan is not difficult, but it took me a long time- well over 20 hours to do the whole job on just the drivers side. I am not an autobody pro, and not that fast, but the results are excellent. Also installed subframe connectors at the same since the welder was already there at the car and the rug was out.
