Well, I started out dry sanding it with 180 grit sandpaper and then wet sanding with first 320, then 400, then 1000 grit sandpaper.Then I went over it with a rubbing compound and finally two coats of wax.
Its pretty time consuming, I spread it out over a few nights.
The hardest most tedious part is just the dry sanding with 180 grit
to get the clear coat and the factory machining marks out.
I think its well worth it though.

You can get a clearcoat remover that will make it easier on you for the 180 grit sanding. I here its pretty messy stuff though. I don't have a place to use it so I just used a little elbow grease on that part.
