fiberglass quality

i have been really leaning towards the ws6 style fiberglass ram air hood for about a year (i have just been dreaming really but now that the body work is done i am thinking more about it)...i have really been wanting it but last night a car show, i saw a third gen formula with one, the paint was spider-webbing out due to the fiberglass flexing (it wasnt a pin on)...this hood was 5 years old, do you guys think i should do it, or stick with the original hood on my t/a...i'm not sure what kind of advancements there are now or what not, but i figured you guys probably know best
thanks

Re: fiberglass quality

the paint was spidered probably due to bad prep. a properly prepped fiberglass piece will not spider unless some serious impact.

i got into an accident and rear ended a jetta and thought damn my hood but only put one little spider in it
