ok thinking about putting a full decal of the firebird on my hood ?????i always see trans ams like that but what about just the pontiac firebirds?????what do you think?i have a friend that does vinal graphics and could hook me up..if you think it would look good what color gold to match my rims , white or black..or is that basicly just for the trans am....

 

a Trans am and a firebird are the same thing just like a camaro and a Z28 and I think if you want to put the bird on it then thats cool.

I laugh at PPL who correct you when you say "nice firebird" and they go "trans am!!!!" LOL. You don't see Camaro owners going "Z28!!!"

Can't help you on the colors I dont like gold at all on a car (or anywhere) but hey its not my car

 

THANK YOU I KNOW THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME BUT WHY IS IT THEY ONLY PUT THE BIRD DECALS ON THE TRANS AMS??????BUT YA AFTER THINGING ABOUT IT I REALLY DONT WONT THE GOLD EATHER DUE TO THE FACT I WONT NEW RIMS AND THEY SURLY WONT BE GOLD ..... The last time they put a bird on the hood from the factory was in 86 and I'm pretty sure it was on the Trans Ams, but I'm not 100%. I've thought about putting a hood chicken on my Trans Am, but I have a 3in cowl hood and I don't think it would look right... But I might have to figure something out. I would go for gold for me, but you, probably white or black if you change the other bird decals...

 

The GM name for the T/a is Firebird Trans Am
So calling a T/a a firebird is more correct than the owner stupidly saying "its a T/a!"

Its off ebay and in the middle of fading
I also went gold to match my wheels, its extremely close
