door help
I am putting a set of doors from a 91 firebird on my 86 firebird. My question is what is the best way to fix the holes in the 91 doors where the ground effects bolted on? Also how hard is it to remove the door glass? They have non-power windows. Thanks

Re: door help
If you want to fill the holes right i would suggest you weld them up and grind them smooth than put a light filler over the top of it rather than just slapping them up full of bondo which will give moisture a chance to enter from the inside and make it to start rusting. The easiest way to get those door glass out is to grind the rivets off that hold the glass to the regulator. than use nuts and bolts to bolt it back up to the regulator when you reinstall it.

Re: door help
Hey thanks. I have access to a mig so that's what I will do. I don't want to just bondo them over, but I didn't know if I could just weld them up or if I would need to weld some metal into them. I was dreading the later. That sucks about the door glass. I was hoping I could just unbolt it some how and remove track and all, so that it would make it easier to strip and trim in. Thanks.

Re: door help
This weekend my wifes cousin and I took the door glasses out of the doors that I will be using on my car. We didn't remove the rivets and was able to work the glass out of each door. It only took us about 15 minutes per door. I'm sure glad he came up. By the way, he does body work and used to strip cars for a large salvage yard in the area
