Adding T-tops to a firebird

Hi, I just brought an 1991 Fire bird, It doesn't have t-tops, but we want to make it have t-tops, What all parts will i need in order to be able to make my Fire bird a t-top Fire bird.

We wanted a T-top already installed onto the car, But we really fall in love with the one we have brought, So we took it and now wanting to put in a t-top system for the spring and the summer, How would we go about doing that.

I know i need to get the T-tops glass, Seals, and the headliner, Is that it or do i need more, Because we will be cutting the roof off making it into the t-tops system.

Well any help would be really great. Is there an website where i can find all of this that i need to add so there will be no leaks in the roof after making the t-tops.

Thanks!

IMHO it's chaper to buy a third gen with t-tops, if you still want to do it there is a guy on here selling a complete conversion kit, search for it

Welcome to TGO. Sounds lovely, but after you've read all the horror stories about leaking, wind noise, and general rot, you may want to reconsider your plan. At any rate, the coupe is a more structurally sound car.

yep, coupe is definately more structually sound (by factory specs anyway)
yep,definately heard&seen horror stories about t-tops.
So if you still want to do the swap I would recomend doing a search and taking notes on the conversion.

Re: Adding T-tops to a firebird

See, i was thinking about all of that, the leaking and the wind we have a 1997 firebird and it has t-tops and we have had problems with the leaking due to all of the snow that we get and what not, Also learned that Camaros/Firebirds are not so great on snow lol.

I might just not go with the T-tops cause after reading and going through all of the leaking and stuff, But gotta admit the T-tops do make a firebird and camaro look pretty damn nice.

Now, i love how they did the dash on that car. I bet that took some time to do.

See i am going to repaint the one i have, It's an dirty ugly white, I think Mid night Blue would look really beautiful on my 1991 Firebird.

I totally agree with you, there are alot of issues due to the T-tops. You may have helped me make up my mind on not doing that.
