Daytona Hoods

I recently picked up a T/A Daytona hood, and I'm just wondering if anyone has one of these on a black car, and how it looks. I had to put some sort of cowl hood on it because the carb was poking the hood. heres a few pics of it sanded with white primer and re-sanded (bought it that way). Has anybody had issues with fitment on these????

I'm relatively new here, in the sense that I haven't really posted much. My car is an 86 T/A with an 010 block 350 , Holley intake and carb, and a 4th gen 3.42 rear.

Re: Daytona Hoods

I don't think you are going to get alot of replys on this request because there are not many of these style hoods out there for a bird. I think this might be the 2nd one I have ever seen. Bump for ya tho....I am interested in seeing myself!

Re: Daytona Hoods

I have been thinking about getting the same hood for my Formula, you just don't see then very often, and everyone have a Regular Cowl or Ram Air hood.

Here is a pic of one on a Grey GTA, same body style as your car, to give you and idea.

Where can you order one of those? Closest thing I could find was a twin turbo hood from texastransams.com

Re: Daytona Hoods

I actually got it along with LCAs, panhard bar, rebuilt W/C T-5, accel super coil and dizzy, and some interior pieces for $250 and a few days work. The guy has 15 3rd gens worth of parts in storage. 11 sets of t-tops 13 TPI top ends with injectors, full un-cut wiring harness, ecu, and dash parts.
