Got these hood locks for $20 at Autozone. The top surface area of the lock or washer seems pretty small. Which is kind of nice because it might make them less noticable but I'm afraid with only 2 hood locks that the hood could possible rip off, right through the locks, especially with a RA2 hood. The back of them have a bigger washer but idk why. I'm thinking about going with 4 hood locks in the front of the hood because 2 might not be enough.

What do you guys think of these? Should I be worried about only going with 2? Our hoods are pretty big compared to the import garbage that these were probably meant for.

Nobody with hood pins/locks has an opinion?

 

its for a glass hood? I think they are a little small, i have torsion pins and the plate is probably 2" diameter. I think that because they are so small they might overstress the small surface area and possibly cause cracking of the hood, if it is glass. I dont know if I like them.

whatever you do, dont use 4, it will look silly

 

I dont really like em, they do look kinda small.
