I have an 88 camaro convertible and my rear wing came off the other day in the garage. Over the last 20 years the 4 studs holding the wing down wore out. My problem now is that the studs are either stripped or too worn out to use. I need to replace them. Just wondering where to find the studs that connect to the wing? Also wanted to know if they are held in place with glue or if they are a part of the wing itself? The ones on there now have glue all over them and it is difficult to distinguish.

 

the only thing I can think of is try using short carburater studs that can be bought at an auto parts store and pick up some good epoxy and nuts let the epoxy set in a day or 2, and wala new studs.

 

i recently repaired mine while it was removed for paint . clean old plastic/glue off stud . clean stud holes of old glue . clean all with acetone , put back together with 2 part epoxy . let set overnite , good to go . good luck .
