I will put the z28 emblems back on it and a new front emblem, but I don't think I will put the IROC Z decals on it. I may change my mind.

Right now, I am just super happy to finally have my car back!!

is that the stock color of that red. i don't mean is that the stock color on your car but is that the dark red color that came on the camaros. I have the same color and thinking about repainting it soon. and man where do you live you have no front yard haha

No, it isn't the color that came on the car but it's very close when looking at it. The car was dark red metallic before.

It is now GMC Red Jewel Tintcoat....it is a metallic red, but you can't see the metallic flake in it in certain light....the sun has to be directly on it, and you have to be close to it to see it. I love it. I saw it on a GMC Acadia.

I live in Arizona in the desert.

I have dirt in my front yard and a fenced back yard also with dirt.

Lots of dirt down here.

 

can you give the price to have it done...im looking to have the body work done to my 87 TA but im a little worried about the cost to do it...i need to have rust work done...sux but it has to be done lol

Well, I paid $1800.00, and that included the body work that I needed done and the paintjob. This did not include the labor for my front clip, nor did it include the parts I had to buy, in order for the front clip to be put back on my car cuz of the collision, nor did it include my hood, which I bought from a guy near where I live.

It depends upon how much body work you need done and what kind of paint job you want and what shop you go to.

A guy can spend $10,000 or more on his paintjob, depending upon what kind of paint he wants and what all he does to his car.

Mine was a basic "get rid of the cancer on the body and paint the thing" job.

The paint did turn out pretty nice, though. I can't really complain, for what I paid.

no im in louisville...

im want to do the same thing...get rid of the D*** rust and put a good paint job on it...nothing custom or fancy...just a little darker than factory red and a black bird on the hood...

i have the normal rust in the rear quarters, floor pans, spare tire bay...i was thinking it was gonna cost $4-5k for mine...if thats the case then im gonna get me a 91-92 5.0 in really good shape
