Dent, Will an 84 Panel work in place? Help

I have an 88 IROC, and have a dent right above the drivers side wheel, also the back passenger side above that back wheel. I have an 84. will the panel from that work on the 88? and over all for th most part, are most the panels bumpers etc the same? Cause I don't want to drop 500$ to fix those dents really lol.

Thanks so much, if you have other ideas, please let me know.

the fenders will fit just fine. as for the dent in your quarter panel, good luck getting that off. might want to snap some pictures of that dent so you can get better advice as to how to address it. Is it big or small? Is the dent on the fender lip or in the quarter panel itself?

yeah, the quarter panel is part of the unibody, so that's not gonna get replaced easily unless you are real good with a welder.

Cause here is the deal, Looking at buying an 85, or an 88, 85 has a 305 with some miles, no body damange, the 88 has a 350 which I want, and low miles but two huge dents.

What would you do? For money, adn troublesome sake. Thats why I want to know the diff. Make sense?

Just want to make the right choice. THanks!

Well if the body is straight on the one with the the 350, and the dent's aren't too severe, I'd start with that. The fender one is easy enough to address by replacing a fender. But the quarterpanel one is the issue. Do you think if you removed the rear speaker you might be able to reach the back of the dent and pop it out? Is the dent the result of a bigger collision that has damaged the frame (unibody)? I'd post pictures of it, and someone can probably tell you how much trouble it would be to fix.
