Hey there, I have a 1986 t/a and the clearcoat on the head light is starting to chip real bad, so I want to take that piece of metal (preferrably just the metal, not the whole headlight) and sand it down and repaint it. How do i get this piece off?

 

flip the light up, there are screws in the sides of the plastic housing that goes around the light and down the sides. after that there are 4, IIRC bolts that hold the lid on, you can see two from behind, but the front 2 are hidden under the plastic shroud
