my 92 camaro's underbody is in pretty bad shape. I hada new drivers floor pan installed from inside a few years ago. The pinch welds on both sides are almost gone. The back wheels wells have a hole in them. Ive done alot of fiber glass patching and i just found out yesterday my unibody has a small crack in it up by my k member. Ive had the car repainted and the body looks great, but when u get underneath it looks bad. What should i do? I dont have any pics available right now.

 

buy a welder if you are going to drive the car in salt

 

It all depends on how much the car means to you. The majority of people on this board are gonna tell you to find a cleaner shell and swap your parts. I'm going through the same thing right now with a car I bought(new paint but floors are shot) and I decided to go with the patches the guy before me screwed in(welding them isntead) and making it as rigid as I can. It all depends on how much work you want to do to a car. If you aren't doing the work however, I believe the price of labor is gonna go heavily over what the car is worth. Good luck. yeh my car kinda has the same problem so i dont know how to fix this i went under my car to change my oil cause my car was smoking and i got a face full of rust and i only bought this thing for 500$ so idk if its worth fixing ive allready got 100+in it o.O i know im gonna end up putting more in this car then its worth but oh well
