Re: weatherstripping track
Are you asking about the two metal t-top weather strip retention strip's that are mounted (screwed) to the body? If so and your trying to find new ones, good luck. I recently tried to purchase brand new replacements from a GM parts dealership, they're discontinued.
Are yours bent or in some way non-re-useable? I harvested a good pair from the wrecking yard, cleaned them up (pain in the a**) and painted them. Good as new for less than $20 (paint included).
If you want new, might ask a couple of the sponsers on this site if they have them?
Good luck

Re: weatherstripping track
yeah that is what I am looking for.tried all the sponsors ,no luck.
how did you clean yours up?the coating is peeling off mine but what is left is on there prettygood
.
I would be happy removing the coating and painting mine if I must ,though I was looking for a bolt-on fix.
any suggestions are appreciated, thanks for the fast response.

Re: weatherstripping track
Cleaning took time and a lot of elbow grease. To remove the sealer / adhesive I used my heat gun to soften up the materials, then with wooden and plastic picks scraped away as much as would come off. Some of it wouldnt so I hit that with a small brass polishing wheel attached to a dremel tool. That works pretty well and doesnt scratch things up.
Once the adhesive was pretty much gone, I used 320 wet / dry over all surfaces then followed by degreaser and mineral spirts then 600 w/d before painting. Sounds like a lot of trouble but that's how I went about it. Turned out real nice and the price was right.
Good luck!

Re: weatherstripping track
I believe the part you are talking about is called a drip rail.
best bet is as mentioned earlier to refinish what you have, or search for some good ones on a junkyard.
my car was missing one of these, and it took me quite a while to locate one.
(main problem was getting various vendors to actually understand what i was trying to get.. hawks sent me a weatherstrip for a hardtop, while i ordered the drip rail for a t-top car....)
