Help me build this car
I came across some concept sketches that Devianb did some time back. ( https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...tml?highlight= ) I'm really interested in going forward with this design, but wasn't sure the best way to approach it.
With the hood, would it be possible to modify the stock hood or should it be entirely fiberglass? I had thought about cutting the edges of the heat extractors and then bending the metal down into the engine bay and either welding in metal sides or using fiberglass to construct the rest of the vent. The hood scoop would still have to be fiberglass, and I haven't found any scoops that wide, so I'm assuming it would have to be molded on top of the steel. Would this be a problem?
Could a similar process of cutting and bending the sheet metal work for the fender vents?
With the exhaust and rear bumper, is that something that could be done with the stock unit as well? The sketch looks like it's factory ground effects, but I'm not sure that it's really in scale.
The front clip has also been notched below the grill. Could the factory piece be cut out, trimmed down, and then reattached with a PU adhesive?
Any ideas on the side mirrors? Could the factory glass be cut down and the mirror housing notched and glassed over?
With the headlight pockets, could that be done with fiberglass, or would another material be better compatible with the polyurethane?
I know this concept may not be popular with a lot of people, but the merits or lack there of with this design have already been discussed in the original thread. Please only post if you have suggestions of how to make these modifications. Thanks.

Re: Help me build this car
fiberglass would probably be your best bet on the headlight pockets
You had me curious what it would look like so i did a quick mock up lol
Could always take a clear headlight shield, and paint the shape onto it, doubt that would look near as good as full custom though
(used a picture of a nice camaro from this board, hope he dont mind)
