can u swap front bumpers from a 82-90~ trans am to a 92. i just dont like the rounded parts on the sides and it looks like some thing fell off or is missing. the older trans ams look awsome with the flatter looking front end. oh yeah i aslo relise that there is a resesed part bellow each head light but id be willing to fix that or make it look the same as id did on the older ones. im just not sure about the newer side skirts looking good against the older bumper.

 

well i once put a 92 bird nose on a 84 with a little work so should work

 

been covered over and over, any bumper any ground effect from any year from 82-92 will interchange and fit like a glove

but....

some body work may be required to drill different mounting holes into doors or fenders and fill in old ones depending on which years your mix matching with

for the most part 90-92 is all the same just slightly different look/style

but what your talking about can be done

 

91-92 birds also got different headlights and headlight housings. There are actually 3 different headlight housing styles. 82-84, 85-90 which are almost identical but more rounded on the bottom outside corners, and 91-92 which got smaller (and I think composite) headlights.

 

hey thanks for the replies guys. and i was just looking @ your 86 trans am thread the other day,bobby 80s nice restoration. i just bought my car and im not framiliar with all the ins and outs yet. i thought they could all interchange but i just wasnt sure about it. also i didnt know the headlights were diffrent.

are sealed beams the same as composite or are they not ?(probobly sound dumb but i dont know the diffrence)
