My neighbor backed out of his driveway and hit my car ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET! His insurance is covering it, but what do you suggest for a fix- reskin the door(if the internals aren't damaged) get a new door (where from?) get a junker door or bang out the ding (it is a good one; big enough to tweek the mirror AND door handle). The door still opens and closes properly, but the window won't go down...

 

go to a local junk yard and your bound to find one there that would probably be in good condition.

 

wow that sucks the easiest fix to this in my opinion is to go to the junkyard and find another door with no dents and all of the same options as you then all you have to do is get it color matched and change the inside door panel good luck

 

I suggest letting his insurance company recommend a shop and letting them handle it. A used door, if in good condition, is probably better than a skin. Less trauma to the door and less margin of error by the tech fixing it. The worst of the three scenarios is having it pounded out and filled. The shop will have to blend both ways so everything matches ... it'll be purty!
