? Repair Tire Well ?

I'm in need of some help. I have quarter size rust spots in my tire well on the bottom and need them to be repaired. I'm wondering on a seat effective way to repair them, and then primer them or something. I have water that evaporate and start to condense inside the car.

thanks in advance,
Timinsk

Re: ? Repair Tire Well ?

Cut the rot, and weld clean sheet metal in place. I might be bigger than what you're seeing actually.
You're lucky to have noticed it now, it seems small enough to be repaired easily.
Once the area is free of rust, grease and dust, apply several coats of epoxy primer on the bare metal (after filling small holes with bondo if needed). Then paint.
This is the only way to have a durable and strong repair.

Do you have a picture of the rust ?

If there are holes I'm afraid there is no other clean and durable way.
There are other options, like applying fiberglass but it should only be temporary.
Whatever you do, remove all the rust first.

I'll take pictures when i can.. i thought i could just fill in with some kind of liquid metal after i clean rust and then just let it dry and sand it down until its smooth with surface and then just primer over it....

liquid metal huh?

If its surface rust, you can grind, fill and paint. If its rott, then you have to cut and weld.
