Lower door seals/weather stripping

I ran across a couple of these for $30 and was debating whether to buy them. I've heard they were an option, but never came with my Firebird. Do these snap along with the bottom of the door weather stripping? Has anyone tried using these? I'm trying to visualize how they'll look before buying them, so any pictures would be great.

My main reason for buying them isn't for water proofing, since my car is garaged. Despite fixing my doors best I can, there is still some very minor scraping on the body being caused by the door. Will these seals help prevent this? My understanding from the seller is that they will stick out a little from underneath the door. Will this buffer the very minor scratching that the door is doing since it is a little unsmooth?

Thanks. I'm just unfamiliar with this part.

Re: Lower door seals/weather stripping

If we're thinking of the same part, they're a thin (maybe 1-1/2 inch) rubber strip with slots cut into it. It attaches between the door panel and the door at the bottom. The little christmas trees that hold the door panel on go through the slots in the strip. It will hang down an inch or so below the door panel. They were included with some of the higher end interiors. Probably more of a sound deadener than anything else. Oh picks are here, first couple of posts:

After looking at mine, I'd say that they won't help at all.
