front bumper/clip w/e
Sorry guys if this question is asked frequently but the front bumper or clip whatever it's called is all chewed up at the bottom, I want to replace it with a new one, i have a 1990 RS, how do I remove the front bumper part? I want to replace that whole part. And my hood is a little bit messed up too, i want to switch that out too, i was thinking about putting an IROC hood on there that I could find at the junkyard, but in your opinion would that be like a "poser"? because my car is obviously not an IROC, so should I just stick with looking for a stock replacement at the jy? And please no suggestions for a aftermarket hood, I would much rather put the money toward a brand new hood into mods for my engine first.

Re: front bumper/clip w/e
honestly its all about personal preferance on your hood.. some people want a 2" cowl, 4" cowl or even a 6" cowl... others want a numbers match stock appearing car... you might get called a poser for having an iroc hood on your car... but if you like that hood on your car thats all that maters.. I have an 92 Rs, i'm debadgeing it and putting a 4" cowl on it and a 350 instead of a 305... And i'm painting it the color of 08 porches... Titanium Silver.
So honestly its what you want not what other people expect from you.
As for the bump... it can be a pain in the rear...
You have to jack up the front end... then there should be 4nuts on each side where the bumper meets the fender... take those off.. then, it should come right off... (dont forget to remove the things that attach to the top of the bumper cover, such as the plastic peice... and if i remember correctly.. the header panel (that holds the lights needs to come off with it... so make sure you take the two bolts in the middle that are covered by that plastic peice.. and unplug any electrical wires, from the head lights and fog lights. If you have the chin spoiler and thats what your talking about... there is more bolts... but since you have a 1990.. it might be different from mine as i have the 91-92 gfx. but if its hooked up the same there are several pop-rivits that hold it to the bumper, and several more bolts along the edge that leads to the fenders.. make sure you put something underneath it to prevent it from hanging down and breaking your clips.
