Messed up Chin Spoiler, How much to get redone??

When i was driving today I unfortunately had to go off the road to avoid an animal and ended up in some grass. Besides a ton of grass being lodged in my GFX i now have a ton of paint chipping on my front spoiler and I'm wondering how much a body shop would charge to repaint that? Also, The front bumper also has some small chipping at the very bottom (where it meets the chin spoiler) and will probably need to be repainted too. What is my best option when it comes to getting this redone???

Would it be best to have a shop paint brand new bumper and spoiler and put them on, or bring my car in as in and have them sand everything off and repaint the pieces that are on the car now?? I'm just looking for guidance because my car is a really low mileage gem and because of this it looks kinda bad....

thanks

I would personally take the bumper and spoiler off then take it to a body shop. Reason beign since its low miles i assume you havent had any paint work done on the car. You just take the risk of overspray getting on the rest of the car plus all the dust and chance of it getting scratched or damaged furthur. I worked for a body shop several years ago and we took pride in our work and great care of customers cars but accidents do happen. I would take the car to which ever shop you plan on using let them see the damage and let them know you will take the parts off for them. With you doing some of the work at least that may help with the cost to.

Re: Messed up Chin Spoiler, How much to get redone??

I just got an estimate from a pretty good local place that does alot of restorations/paint jobs for muscle cars. To take off the bumper/grill/spoiler and have them sandblasted, prepped, painted, etc. is going to cost $999.80 + tax (So like $1060).... This seems expensive but honestly the labor rate was only $46/hour???

Any thoughts???

Restoration places will charge you more than the average local body shop. Shop around for prices. That seems too high for just the front nose.

My 4th gen has some clear coat peeling and some bad chips. i got quoted 400 to blast, prime, and paint. So 1000 seems pretty high.
